Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Lamborghini will use blockchain technology to certify, track and authenticate its historic cars!
According to a press release from Salesforce, the leading customer relationship management company in Italy, Lamborghini will use a blockchain-based platform called Salesforce Blockchain to quickly and securely perform tasks such as certification, authentication and tracking of selected car models.

Let us remind you that a product belonging to Salesforce was launched at the end of May this year. This platform was based on Hyperledger’s blockchain.

According to the press release, when Lamborghini is resold, the vehicle passes from 800 to 1 000 certification inspections, which take place at the headquarters of the manufacturer in Italy. This type of inspection requires technicians to work with a large number of units such as photographers, auction houses, sales representatives and trade magazines. With Salesforce Blockchain, Lamborghini will be able to digitise the entire authentication process, thus creating a network of trust between all partners. And everything will be much faster and more efficient than ever before.

The fact that every vehicle will be equipped with a consistent history of service will further enhance its value.

The cooperation was also discussed by Paolo Gabrielli, head of Lamborghini’s sales department. He admitted that innovation is the core of the Italian car manufacturer and that Salesforce Blockchain will allow him to go one step further.
